this year our pagan friends are hosting yule/x-mas.
they are into shamanism and i would really like to be able to give them something special that relates to their beliefs.
Heaven, those are beautiful. I have never seen a pine cone that huge. It's a decoration all by itself with a bit of glitter and a bow. Love it.
I want to post pictures of all my X-mas decor but have to figure that out yet. Hubby can take the pics with the blackberry but how I get them from there to here is the confusing part. I am not computer savvy and would need the Posting Pictures for Dummies version.lol. techno babble is like a foreign language to me. Leslie

Ziddina: I know that they use crystals and stones for healings. At first I thought they were into wicca but they said no it wasn't that. I know one of them likes dragons and has a few figurines. I looked that up on the web and found that different dragons and their colors are for different things. Wouldn't want to screw up and buy the wrong one. lol. The store I have found and plan to visit this week have the besom brooms, as well as incense, candles, crystals, stones and many other items. I also like the idea of making a gift. Thx. Leslie

Pams girl: Fantastic idea, I love doing crafts, especially Christmas related. I will definitely make one of those wreaths. I have craft paint already and some pine cones and cedar cuttings and ribbon. I just must make one. Thanks Leslie

Yes brothers & sisters, we can say with 100% accuracy that there are still members of the 1914 generation alive today, well sort of...they were frozen in cryo-stasis therefore their bodies have not technically returned to dust, so they sort of aren't "gone" in the way we normally think of "gone", and only require thawing out at an appropriate time. Let us all rejoice in Jehovah's wonderful provision.

THE GOOD NEWS is that thanks to all the wonderful suggestions from EVERYONE I was able to do searches for specific kinds of things. This led me to find the perfect store only about 1/2 hr from home. It's called The Cat, the Book and the Candle and is in Cambridge on the north side of the 401 in the area that used to be known as Hespeler. I plan to check it out this week. i have never heard this before until i read a life story of an ex-jws and how some jws in the past refused to eat pepperoni pizza because they thought blood was in pepperoni.
i do know some elderly jw sisters would complain about eating steak if it bled while cooking.
has anybody else heard of this pizza nonsense?.
Oh dear gawd yes, this brings up memories. Took so much more time to grocery shop having to read all those labels only to have to put the offending food back on the shelf. It was all so stupid. I can't believe I bought into all this crap! -Leslie-
